Baker & Cake Decorator FULL-TIME (Listed JAN 2019)
Love cake? We are looking for an experienced Baker to join our passionate, hard-working and fun-loving team. This position requires someone who genuinely loves baking, who is responsible, creative and driven to making exceptional quality cake, while providing great customer service.
Experience working in a commercial kitchen
Basic baking and decorating knowledge
Positive, energetic and happy personality
Strong attention to detail
Creative, can-do attitude
Availability to work flexible shifts (Tues-Sun)
Baking our core everyday products (cupcakes, cakes, scones, slices etc)
Decorating and finishing cakes to a high standard (training will be provided)
Meeting baking and order despatch deadlines
Providing professional and friendly customer service
General cafe and cleaning duties.
This role reports to the Senior Baker and Cafe Manager. The hours are approx 35 per week, including at least one weekend shift, some early morning (6am) starts and occasional evenings.
We are a small team, made up of confident, creative, kind people - we support each other individually in our roles and collectively as a whole. Although this is a specialist position, everyone helps each other during peak times so only team-players should apply!
Please note we do not work with fondant - all our cakes are decorated with buttercream or ganache.

Baker & Decorator PART-TIME (Listed JAN 2019)
This role is very similar to the one listed above but is part-time - approx 2 shifts (15hrs) per week including Sundays. For this role we will provide all training so experience isn’t needed however you will still need to show us that you are passionate about baking and decorating - especially cakes! So if you bake at home or have baked in another role, please send us photos. Hospitality experience is preferred. You must be efficient, responsible, have strong attention to detail and be able to cope with the fast pace of hospitality life.
